A collaborative effort between the National Center for Science and Technology and the Fisheries Center of Ha Giang province has led to the successful rearing of sturgeon in highland mountainous districts, with initial batches weighing 1.5kg and a survival rate of over 80%. This innovation, which requires water temperatures between 18-25 degrees Celsius, has been replicated in other districts, yielding over 12 tons of fish annually. In addition, a cow fattening model has been implemented, resulting in significantly heavier cows and higher profits compared to self-farming. These agricultural extensions have helped improve economic efficiency, increase household income, and promote the rearing of large cattle and native breeding pigs. The project has also seen the adoption of caged farming and improved animal husbandry techniques, covering over 18,200 hectares for animal husbandry and raising the number of cattle and buffalo herds in Ha Giang province.
