[Korean Farmers' Newspaper Reporter Kang-san Lee] Hampyeong County (County Head Lee Sang-ik) recycled fallen trees from large-scale forest fires that occurred in the area in 2023 into sawdust for bedding and provided it free of charge to local Hanwoo farmers. A large-scale forest fire broke out in the areas of SinGwang-myeon and DaeDong-myeon in Hampyeong County in April 2023, resulting in the loss of over 641 hectares of forest. This year, Hampyeong County supplied 80 tons of sawdust produced from trees cut down in 26 hectares of the fire-damaged area to local Hanwoo farmers free of charge through the Hampyeong County Livestock-Related Organizations Council on the 1st. Hampyeong County provided free felling of fire-damaged trees and livestock farming according to the area of felling.
