Hanyeonong welcomes the rural women life policy and its establishment: "Establishment of a system to promote improvement of dedicated policies and systems for women farmers"
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has established a dedicated regular organization within its ranks for women farmers' policies, called the "Rural Women's Policy Division." The Korean Women Farmers' Association (hereafter referred to as "Korean Women Farmers") welcomed this as "a starting point for the institutional recognition of the role of women farmers." The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs recently implemented a large-scale organizational reform to innovate agricultural policies and realize the agricultural policy vision ("Agriculture with the People, a Rural Village Realizing Hope") at an early stage. Expanding from the previous structure of 3 divisions, 2 departments, 12 offices, and 59 sections/teams, the new structure consists of 3 divisions, 3 departments, 12 offices, and 62 sections/teams, which also includes the newly established Rural Women's Policy Division responsible for settling rural gender equality culture.
