In Ryaanan Oblast, agricultural activities have concluded for the main harvest season, with farmers still working on reaping late crops such as sunflowers and corn as of November 2022. Despite heavy autumn rains slowing down the process, the region has seen its most extensive harvest fields in over two decades, covering over 1.1 million hectares. Despite the challenges, a record harvest of 3.08 million tons of cereal crops was achieved, surpassing the previous record of 2.95 million tons in 2020. Sowing for the 2023 season has also been completed, covering 335,000 hectares, which is more than the average of the last five years. The agricultural sector in Ryaanan Oblast is well-prepared for the 2023 growing season, with all necessary resources, including fuel, equipment, spares, and necessary agricultural inputs such as fertilizers and pesticides, ensuring smooth operations.
