In Minab city, a notable decrease in mango production is anticipated this year, with forecasts predicting over 15,000 tons of mangoes, marking a 10% reduction from the previous year due to climate changes. The city, known for leading in mango production within the province, cultivates both local and foreign varieties, including Almehtri, Khayari, Klanfar, Kalk Red, Halili, Sandari, and Langera. Harvesting begins in early May with 30% of mangoes picked in their green stage for local consumption and culinary uses such as pickles and soups, while the ripe mango harvest extends from mid-June through the end of September, primarily in villages like Shahwar and Tembano.
