(Changwon=Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Sun-kyung = Changwon City, Gyeongnam, announced on the 20th that farmers in the city's greenhouses have recently started harvesting 2025-crop Angelica dahurica.
The city explained that the growing environment this year has been generally favorable, resulting in superior fruit sweetness and shape.
There are five farms in the Changwon area that cultivate Angelica dahurica and other citrus fruits.
These farms, with a total area of 11,500 square meters, produce an annual equivalent of 28 tons of citrus fruits.
Most of the harvested produce is sold through direct transactions. They are also connected with fruit snack companies, ensuring a steady supply to kindergartens.
The city plans to strengthen technical support to help farmers maintain a stable production base amid climate change.
