Starting with the first sale ceremony on this day, the persimmons will be supplied to consumers through various channels including large-scale department stores, agricultural cooperatives, and direct delivery online shopping malls from the producing area. The auction will be held every Tuesday and Friday until February 6 of next year. This year, with an increase of about 10% compared to last year, 3,000 tons of persimmons are expected to be produced, generating sales of over 35 billion won. Sancheong persimmons are made from 'Gojongsi', named after Emperor Gojong who was impressed by its taste. Since ancient times, they have been famous for their deep flavor, natural sweetness, and soft and chewy texture, and are consistently loved as a holiday gift set and a healthy snack. They have received high external recognition for their excellent quality, winning the 'Korean Festival Content Award' 8 times, the 'Korean Representative Brand Award' 9 times, and the 'Best Fruit Award' for 10 consecutive years, maintaining high reliability.
