A recent survey by Hortifrúti/Brasil has revealed a decrease in the average price of special agate potatoes last week across major markets in Brazil. The price drop was most significant in Belo Horizonte, where it fell by 18.8%, followed by São Paulo with a 12.8% decrease, and Rio de Janeiro with an 8% decrease. The surge in supply, attributed to high productivity in Paraná due to the start of the rainy season, and delayed harvests in Minas Gerais and Chapada Diamantina, Bahia, have led to this situation.
