Honeysuckle season has started in Ukraine with no significant price reduction expected

The first wholesale lots of new harvest honeysuckle began to arrive at the Ukrainian market this week. A week ago, gardeners sold the first small batches of the earliest bush berries, but worsening weather conditions suspended harvesting, EastFruit reports. As noted, at the moment the first wholesale lots of honeysuckle come from those regions where the areas under honeysuckle are still small, but the climate allows entering the market earlier: Transcarpathia, Cherkasy and Dnepropetrovsk regions. However, in the near future, mass harvesting will begin in the Kiev, Zhitomir and Chernigov regions. So far, manufacturers are trying to keep prices at the level of UAH 200 / kg, which is even slightly higher than last year's prices.
