Hong Kong's Center for Food Safety has sealed a batch of refrigerated chicken wings imported from Japan after suspecting that the importer violated food safety regulations. The chicken wings, from Ibaraki Prefecture, did not have the required radiation certificate, which is mandatory for frozen or refrigerated game, meat, poultry, and eggs from specified prefectures in Japan. The Center is conducting further investigations and will take necessary actions, including notifying Japanese authorities and potentially prosecuting the importer involved.
