The Hongseong Ari Hyang Farming Association in South Korea's Chungcheongnam-do province has seen a doubling of strawberry exports to over $100,000 in January 2021, compared to the same period last year, despite a decrease in overall strawberry exports in the province. The success is attributed to the cultivation of the high-quality, extra-large Arihyang strawberry variety, which is preferred by international buyers in countries such as Hong Kong and the United States. The product's long storage period and unique sweet-sour taste have earned it the title 'precious body' in overseas markets. The province plans to further support the farming association's exports through various initiatives and logistical support.
