The corn cultivation area in the State is estimated at 810,380 hectares with a productivity of 4,440 kg/ha. The harvest has been completed from a technical point of view, but there are still small crops and ears in the field, waiting for staggered harvest according to consumption demand. In some regions, farmers are evaluating losses due to water deficiency and are looking to expand the irrigation area for the next crop, while in Santa Rosa, producers are already planning the next crops to advance the harvest and make the second crop viable. The demand for corn seeds remains high, indicating that producers are increasingly relying on the traditional market.
