The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization has published a new report on the state of the fields in the Mykolaiv region. Researchers studied how land use has changed from 2021 to 2024. To do this, they did not personally visit each field but used satellite imagery and special computer programs. This helped to see the real picture of what is happening in large areas that are difficult to verify through conventional inspection due to risks. According to the document, the situation over the past four years has been very unstable. The authors of the report compared what was before the start of active hostilities and what farmers have as of today. The analysis took 2021 as a reference point.
