The Association of Irrigation Communities of Huelva, Huelva Riega, has reminded today that it is not possible to guarantee the recovery and improvement of the Doñana aquifer as long as the Transfer Law to the County is not fully complied with and the hydraulic infrastructures that this law declares as priorities are not executed. This was expressed by the president of Huelva Riega, Fernando González, coinciding with the World Wetlands Day, which is celebrated today, February 2. "The Law 10/2018, or the Transfer Law, is not a declaration of intentions, but a legal tool designed precisely to preserve the balance of the Almonte-Marismas aquifer and the ecosystems associated with Doñana," as expressly stated in its preamble.
