Andalusia's export promotion agency, Extenda, has conducted commercial missions to France and the UK to foster growth in the organic horticultural sector. With Andalusia leading Spain's fruit and vegetable exports to Europe, achieving a record of 2,885 million euros in the first four months of 2021, and being the largest exporter of sweet peppers and strawberries, there is a surge in demand for organic products in these markets. To capitalize on this trend, 19 Andalusian companies have engaged with 11 importers to strengthen their commercial ties, tapping into the potential of the organic market, which is valued at 12,000 million euros in France and has seen significant growth in the UK due to the pandemic. This strategy aims to support the growth of Andalusian companies, particularly in regions like Almería, Huelva, and Malaga, which dominate these exports, by providing opportunities within the expanding organic market.
