Hung Long 555 rice variety yields over 11 tons per hectare, with white, soft, and supple rice grains

On June 5th, in Vinh Thanh district (Can Tho city), the International Agricultural Seed Joint Stock Company organized a field workshop to evaluate the Hung Long 555 rice variety's yield and quality for the summer-autumn 2025 crop. The event, held at Mr. Tran Van Phuoc's field in Tan An hamlet, Thanh Loc commune (Vinh Thanh district), attracted over 100 farmers, cooperative representatives, and rice seed agents from An Giang, Dong Thap, Long An provinces, who came to observe and assess the model in person. Mr. Tran Van Phuoc, who directly cultivates the Hung Long 555 rice variety, shared: His family has been growing this variety for 3 crops, each time achieving the expected high yield. The rice plants are sturdy, with low lodging and pest risks, and fertilizer and pesticide costs are significantly reduced compared to traditional varieties.
