We are gathering at a time when Bulgarian agriculture, and especially the grain production sector, is going through one of the most challenging years in history. 2025 has become the year of economic, climatic, and geopolitical challenges. 2025 is the year that begins with a drop in prices for our main crops. Combined with an increase in all our production costs, 2025 is also the year of drought and extreme weather, which leaves some farmers with yields below the profitability threshold. The geopolitical reality, market instability, competition from third countries, and the extreme pressure on farmers' incomes have put the sector in an incomparable difficult situation.
