Implementing the EUDR effectively starts with local administrative capacity.

On December 24, the organization Forest Trends held an online seminar titled "Effective Implementation of EUDR in Vietnam's Future: From a Local Perspective." The seminar focused on clarifying the key role of local authorities, exemplified by Đắk Nông (now Lâm Đồng Province), in coordinating, managing planting area data, and promoting the participation of enterprises and households in complying with the EUDR. Sharing at the online forum, Dr. Phạm Tuấn Anh, former Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Đắk Nông, provided a comprehensive picture of the practical implementation of EUDR from the local level, with the coffee industry as the focal point.
