Imports of lard in Ukraine decreased by 21.7% last year

In 2023, Ukraine saw a significant decrease in its import of lard, pork fat, and poultry fat, with a drop of 21.7% from the previous year, amounting to a total of 24.5 thousand tons. The country's expenditure on these imports also fell by 21.5% to $28.4 million. The primary suppliers were Poland, the Netherlands, and Spain, contributing 36.9%, 21.2%, and 14% respectively. Furthermore, there was a substantial reduction in pork imports, which decreased by 3.6 times in the same year.
