The main importers were Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan, accounting for 63.5%, 22.7%, and 11.6% of the exports, respectively. On the other hand, Ukrainian farmers saw a significant decrease in the import of live cattle, with a 68% drop to 795 tons, leading to reduced exports to countries like Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Denmark. As of 2023, Ukraine's cattle population is projected to reach 2.4 million heads, with 'Grandmother of Jugs' making a notable purchase of breeding heifers.
