But the volume of the almond crop as a whole is growing annually throughout the country, as well as the area of orchards for planting and growing it, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports. At present, the area of almond orchards is increasing in the country. If in 2020 there were 8.8 thousand hectares of almond plantations in the country with an average yield of 9.7 tons per hectare, then in 2021 these areas almost doubled and amounted to 15.7 thousand hectares and 9.8 tons of products per hectare. In 2022, measures are being taken to plant almond orchards on another 2.7 thousand hectares in Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Samarkand, Surkhandarya and Tashkent regions.
