In December, imports of cocoa and related products in the country rose by 16.26% year-on-year to US$128 million, with the volume increasing by 10.39% to 26,000 tons. The total imports for the year were US$1.033 billion, up 9.46% from the previous year, with a volume of 217,600 tons, a 1.32% increase. The top ten countries for import value, accounting for 79.25% of the total, were Malaysia, Indonesia, Italy, Belgium, Singapore, Russia, Switzerland, the US, Germany, and Ghana. Malaysia was the largest import market, with an import value of US$178 million, an 8.95% increase year-on-year.
