From January to September of 2022, Ukraine saw a significant decrease in its export of frozen cattle meat, with a total of 9.6 thousand tons exported, which is half the amount compared to the same period in 2021. This decrease resulted in revenue of $47.6 million, marking a 1.6 times decrease from the previous year. The primary markets for these exports were China, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, accounting for 76.5%, 6.7%, and 5.1% of the total exports, respectively. Additionally, the internal price of beef in Ukraine experienced a slight increase in September, amidst a backdrop of falling global beef prices.
