According to Tambovstat, from January to June in the agricultural organizations of the Tambov region, 308.3 thousand tons of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight were produced. This is 1.0% more than in the same period of 2024. Including, the output of poultry for slaughter was recorded at 198.7 thousand tons (+6.8% compared to the previous year), pigs - 107.6 thousand tons, cattle - 1.9 thousand tons (+8.1%). Milk production amounted to 47.5 thousand tons (-1.4% compared to the previous year). The productivity of the dairy herd increased: the average milk yield per fodder cow reached 4,432 kg, which is 6.6% more than in 2024.
