In the first quarter of the year, Russia experienced a 4.7% increase in milk production compared to the same period last year, totaling 5,105.5 thousand tons. The Tyumen region, located in the Ural Federal District, saw the highest growth with 96.1 thousand tons, marking a 4.7% increase from the previous year. The average milk productivity per cow in Russia also increased by 6.2% compared to last year, reaching 2,097.0 kg. The region's leading dairy farms, such as Borovinskoye LLC, Evika-Agro LLC, and Padunskoye JSC, further improved their milk yield through genetic analysis of their cattle, with 95% of the animals evaluated meeting high production and economic standards.
