The European Union's Cow's Milk Market Observatory has reported a rise in milk prices in August 2020, marking the second consecutive increase, but despite this, the average value of milk has fallen by 4.3% in the last year. The price in August was 32.91 euros per 100 kilos. The most significant drops were in Germany (3.7%), France (2.6%), and the Netherlands (5.8%), while Ireland and Spain saw price increases of 2% and 0.6% respectively. The lowest price in the EU was in Lithuania, almost at the same value as August 2019.
