As the harvested green olives are classified in the sieves, the price per kilogram of green olives ranges between 50 and 80 lira. In Burhaniye, the recent rains that fell after a dry summer have stimulated the olive producers. As the harvested product is prepared for the green cracked olives, the dozens of sieves set up in the region have also started to operate. The green olives classified in the sieves are bought at prices ranging from 50 to 80 lira depending on their size, while the oil olives, referred to as sieve-bottom olives, are bought by buyers at 35 lira.
