The purchase prices for elderberries in the Chernihiv region of Ukraine have fallen significantly, dropping from UAH 8 to UAH 3.5/kg due to logistical issues, as reported by "Polska Pravda" and confirmed by Viktoriya Batiuk from the Kulikivka district center. This price crash has led to a critical situation for farmers. Elderberry demand surged globally in 2020 due to its high vitamin C content during the pandemic, with Ukraine exporting 7.5 thousand tons, primarily to Europe and Japan.
