The head of Chukotka, Vladislav Kuznetsov, announced plans to double the volume of vegetable production in the region's greenhouses by 2026. These plans will be supported by expanded state support measures. Currently, due to the region's climatic conditions, vegetables are only grown in greenhouses, and most of the vegetables and fruits are imported, resulting in high prices, with cucumbers costing up to 1,000 rubles per kilogram.
