A new chapter in agricultural production is being opened in Erzurum. Following the wheat and oat harvest in the summer months, the harvest of broccoli, planted as a trial for a second crop before winter arrives, has been completed. The project, carried out by the Erzurum Trade Exchange and the Department of Horticultural Crops of the Faculty of Agriculture at Atatürk University, was realized with the support of Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu. The trial, conducted at the Atatürk University Plant Production Application and Research Center, yielded results that pleased the producers from the three different broccoli varieties planted on August 1. The plants, which mature in approximately 60 to 90 days, were harvested in mid-October.
