In February 2024, Ukraine saw a 22% increase in dairy product exports, amounting to 8.5 thousand tons worth $16.6 million. The main exports were condensed milk, cream, cheeses, ice cream, and butter. Despite this, the first quarter saw a 14% decrease in export revenue year-on-year. Meanwhile, the global plant-based milk market is projected to grow from $20 billion to $51.87 billion over the next decade, with almond milk leading in 2022 and North America as the largest consumer. China is emerging as the third largest milk producer globally, but continues to be the main importer due to its large population. Ukraine has also increased its dairy imports following export agreements with 11 countries.
