Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry Director Suat Parıldar emphasized that they have conducted 220 thousand food inspections across Istanbul, identified irregularities in various areas in 9,300 establishments, and imposed penalties exceeding 565 million liras. Parıldar stated in a program he attended that food is a national security issue and that ensuring traceability from seed to fork in food reliability is of great importance.
