As of October 1, 2020, Kazakhstan's oilseed stock reached 1,162,278.4 tons, a significant increase of 578,748.5 tons from the previous quarter. The stock is predominantly held for food use, with smaller quantities for seeds and fodder. The most commonly stored oilseeds are sunflower, safflower, rapeseed, soybeans, flax seeds, mustard seeds, camelina seeds, cotton seeds, rape seeds, and other oilseeds. The North Kazakhstan region is the largest contributor to the country's oilseed storage, followed by East Kazakhstan, Akmola, and Kostanay regions.
