In the first half of 2020, Kabardino-Balkaria (KBR) saw a doubling of agro-industrial complex exports compared to the same period in 2019, surpassing national project goals. The region exported goods worth over $17 million, accounting for 87% of its annual plan and marking a 200% increase from the previous year. The exports were distributed to 19 countries, including neighboring ones and far-off places like the USA and China. The exports consisted of a variety of products such as dairy and fermented milk products, poultry meat, confectionery, mineral water, fresh fruits, seeds of corn hybrids, sweet carbonated drinks, and other food products. KBR's Minister of Agriculture, Khasan Sizhazhev, expressed optimism for further growth in export volume and product variety in the coming years.
