Authorities in the Kyzylorda region are considering the possibility of establishing a corn processing plant in the region to produce starch and syrup.
Akim of the region, Nurlybek Nalibayev, visited Zharkent in the Jetisu region, where he familiarized himself with the work of the LLP "Zharkent Starch and Syrup Plant." During the visit, he inspected the production facilities and studied the technological process of processing grain raw materials.

Part of the production is sold on the domestic market, while the rest is exported to China, Central Asian countries, and the CIS. The plant management also presented information on the raw material base, sales markets, and environmental control.
Nurlybek Nalibayev noted the importance of such projects for the development of the processing industry and the strengthening of the agrarian sector. Following the visit, the parties discussed the prospects for creating a similar production facility in Kyzylorda and the possibilities for attracting investments.
