In Moldova, industrial apples have become cheaper by 8–13%

Procurement prices for industrial apples in Moldova decreased by 8–13% at the end of last week. Among the factors influencing this are the drop in procurement prices in Poland, forecasts of significant apple concentrate production in China, and a decrease in global demand for apple juice. This is reported by Logos Press. If at the beginning of the season, processors were paying 3.6–3.8 lei/kg for autumn apple varieties, now some factories have lowered the "working price" to 3.3 lei/kg (shipment from the orchard). Factory representatives explained the price drop by several factors. "Procurement prices in Ukraine and especially in Poland have decreased, and we cannot ignore this," noted Moldovan enterprises. In Poland, prices for raw materials for concentrate fell from 0.21 euro/kg at the start of the season to 0.16 euro/kg in mid-September. In Ukraine, the procurement level is still 0.01 euro/kg lower.
