Over the past three years, the processing capacity of these crops has increased by 21%. Over the past three years, the capacity for processing oilseeds in Russia has increased by 21%—from 28.5 million tons in 2022 to 34.5 million tons by the end of 2025, reported the Oil and Fat Union of Russia (OJFU). "The largest increase was in the processing capacity for soybeans—2 million tons, and for rapeseed/flax—550 thousand tons per year. Taking into account the introduced export duty on flax, a significant share of these capacities can be loaded with the processing of linseed oil already in the current season. If we look at the dynamics over five years (2021 to 2026), the growth in capacity will be more than 10 million tons," commented the executive director of the union, Mikhail Maltsev.
