In Russia, retail beer sales grew by 7% in 9 months

In the first nine months of 2024, Russia has experienced a significant growth in the alcoholic beverage market, with beer and beer drinks seeing notable increases in retail sales. Beer sales rose by 7% to 553.8 million decaliters, and beer drinks sales increased by 13.3% to 77.2 million decaliters, driven by high growth rates in cider, perry, and mead. The sales volume of these beverages reached almost 8.6 million decaliters, marking a 15.3% increase compared to the same period last year. Beer production in the country also saw an uptick, with a 9.5% increase in production compared to the previous year, totaling 719 million decaliters in the first nine months of 2024.
