In Russia, there are plans to increase the number of sponsors for targeted training in higher education institutions in agricultural specialties, which is funded by the federal budget. The corresponding decision was enshrined in the law approved at the plenary session of the Federation Council, writes the "Parliamentary Newspaper." This legislative initiative was developed by the first deputy chairman of the Council, Vladimir Yakushev, together with State Duma deputies. He explained that such a measure is aimed at attracting and retaining qualified personnel in various sectors of the economy. Yakushev also said that the legislative initiative was created in response to a serious demand for targeted training. According to the explanatory materials to the document, last year alone, about 224 thousand applications were submitted. This exceeded the number of proposals from employers by 58 thousand.
