Anthrax outbreak in Jalal-Abad region, Kyrgyzstan:
- Four residents of Suzak district have been hospitalized due to anthrax
- The outbreak is linked to the consumption of meat from a sick cow that died on September 16
- Over 100 people in settlements Zhashasyn, Kyzyl-Senir and Boston have fallen ill
- Since the beginning of the year, 16 cases of anthrax have been confirmed in the region
- The region has seen 355 anthrax foci, with only half concreted to prevent further spread
