The Acting head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, has imposed a quarantine on the Snezhnyansk penal colony due to an outbreak of African swine fever (ASF). The order, published on the DPR head's website, prohibits unauthorized persons from visiting the colony and bans the export of livestock and crop products during the quarantine period. ASF is a viral disease that affects wild boars and pigs, with the first outbreak in Russia reported in 2007.
