In the first half of 2021, Russia experienced a significant increase in agricultural exports, with dairy products seeing a 20% rise to 110 thousand tons and generating $177 million in revenue, including a 45% increase in ice cream exports to Azerbaijan. Dairy exports to Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Belarus also increased, with the United States also showing a threefold increase in dairy imports. Overall, Russia exported over 30 million tons of agricultural products valued at $15 billion to nearly 150 countries, despite a slight decrease in Chinese purchases. Grain exports, although slightly down in volume, saw a 19% increase in earnings, led by wheat and corn shipments to Turkey and Egypt. There was also a 43% increase in fat and oil product exports, driven by higher global prices for basic vegetable oils, with Turkey being the largest buyer. These positive trends underscore Russia's growing agricultural presence in the global market.
