The main share of the coastal fishery catch consists of sprat, Baltic herring, river flounder, roach, ruffe, pike-perch, and bream. According to the Kaliningrad Region Fishery Agency, from January to June 2025, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs registered in the region harvested 108.1 thousand tons of aquatic bioresources in the Atlantic Ocean, the Baltic Sea, the Curonian and Kaliningrad (Vistula) Bays, and the Vystynetsky Lake. This is 15% higher than the previous year's level. The main share of the catch consists of: in the ocean fishery—blue whiting, mackerel, sea bass, cod, and amberjack; in the coastal fishery—sprat (kilka), Baltic herring (salaka), river flounder, roach, ruffe, pike-perch, and bream. Kaliningrad fish farms produced 75 tons of commercial fish during the reporting period, which is approximately at the same level as the previous year.
