Fishing enterprises in the Khabarovsk Territory have increased their salmon catch by 10% over two years, reaching a total of 28.3 thousand tons in 2023. The region's resource base is expanding, with developments in crab and pollock, and increased production of sardines and mackerel. Plans are underway to build fish hatcheries for the restoration of the Pacific salmon population, with the goal of releasing up to 20 million juvenile salmon per year.
