The article reports a decrease in average consumer prices for various food items in the Nizhny Novgorod Region as of August 12. Prices for fruits and vegetables fell between 0.8% and 8.9%, including cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, beetroot, potatoes, apples, cabbage, bananas, and onions. In the meat and meat product segment, chilled and frozen chicken, and cooked sausage saw a decrease in price. The dairy market experienced a slight decrease in the cost of hard, semi-hard, and soft cheeses. Prices for grain products such as vermicelli, premium wheat flour pasta, millet, wheat flour, polished rice, and rye and rye-wheat bread also fell. Additionally, prices for chicken eggs, cookies, table salt, granulated sugar, and margarine decreased.
