The State Fisheries Agency of Ukraine has reported a total industrial catch of 9.7 thousand tons of fish and other aquatic bioresources from various water bodies and the continental shelf, marking an increase compared to the previous year. The Sea of Azov saw the highest increase with a 14% rise, contributing 1.2 thousand tons. The Black Sea recorded a catch of 3.1 thousand tons, while the Dnieper reservoirs and the Dnieper-Bug estuary system also experienced significant increases. Additionally, vessels under the Ukrainian state flag extracted 22.1 thousand tons of krill from the Antarctic, marking a 7% increase from the previous year. Preliminary data also indicates a catch of 1.8 thousand tons of aquaculture products.
