The Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine has highlighted the lack of significant growth in the country's cow population and milk production, attributing it to the ongoing war and the absence of effective support programs. Arsen Didur, the union's executive director, has called for government intervention to address the raw milk shortage and enhance dairy processing. He advocates for state support for farms with over 300 dairy herds and the implementation of programs like a 50% subsidy for dairy farm construction and the importation of dairy cows to boost milk production.
