In 2025, the demand for sweet and confectionery products decreased by 20%, while the consumption share of simple recipe bread increased to 50% compared to 44% in 2024. This was reported by the president of the All-Ukrainian Association of Bakers, Yuriy Duchenko, writes UNN. This has slowed the growth in prices, which did not exceed 5% for simple recipe bread. The demand of Ukrainians is increasingly shifting towards simple and affordable bakery products, which affects the market structure. Manufacturers are responding to this by adjusting their assortment and reducing the share of more expensive products. The market is seeing a trend towards rye-wheat breads.
