Prices for apples in Ukraine have started to decrease. In October, some popular varieties became almost twice cheaper, reports Agro News. "In principle, I think that the current price of 20-35 UAH is quite fair, workable, and quite attractive for the orchardist. It is even higher than it could be within the current market," noted the head of USPA Fruit, Volodymyr Hurzhiy. It is noted that apple prices are now approximately twice as high as they were during the same period last year. Analysts pointed out that instability in the apple market has been observed for the second consecutive season. Thus, the price was extremely high at the end of the last season when the fruit simply ran out before the start of the new harvest. In Varus, the fruit is sold at 31.90 UAH/kg.
