Following the hunting ban in Zonguldak, citizens showed a keen interest in the stalls.
After the hunting ban ended on September 1, the stalls were bustling with fish. The stalls featured anchovies, sprat, sardines, and mackerel. Despite the slightly high fish prices, citizens did not cease to show interest in the stalls.
Fisherman Oktay Ertürk said, "Fish prices are currently high. But they will stabilize within 5-10 days. As we said, we will feed the public with cheap fish. Currently, we have anchovies, sprat, sardines, and mackerel. This year, there is an abundance of anchovies, sardines, and sprat. However, this season is challenging for bluefish. We expect activity in bluefish after September 20. This year, bluefish may turn out to be barren. Due to northerly winds, it could not lay its eggs."
